Make your existing space work better for everyday life. Owen brings experience across building work and an eye for how changes fit with what's already there.
Renovation work across Whangārei and the coast, including Kamo, Tikipunga, Onerahi, Parua Bay, Ruakākā and Waipū.
A practical approach to existing homes
Start with what you want to change and why. Owen can help work through the building scope and the order of work, including coordination with other trades where needed.
Bathroom renovations
Whether you're looking at a remodel or a broader update, talk through the building work and trade requirements before committing to a plan. Owen has subcontractor contacts available for projects that need them.
Clear scope, considered changes
Renovation work can reveal issues that aren't visible at the start. The proposed scope and pricing approach should be clear before work begins, with changes discussed as they arise.

Renovation clients on working with Owen
Two recent renovation clients, in their own words.
We had the pleasure of having Owen complete some renovation work in our home, and have been very happy with his workmanship. Owen is friendly, polite, honest, hardworking, approachable, and takes a lot of pride in the finished result of his work. We really appreciated the effort he put in and his willingness to help bring our ideas to life, and also seeing/suggesting possibilities to make the end result even better. We would be very happy to recommend Owen to others looking for someone reliable to help with their building and renovation projects.
Taryn & Clint MarrisOwen has helped us complete a renovation project recently. Can’t thank him enough for being punctual, his communication was excellent and he did a great job. All his work was done to a high standard and completed on time. Would be happy to use him again on our next project.

Renovations: common questions
Do I need consent to renovate a bathroom?
Usually not for a like-for-like replacement. Moving plumbing, altering structure or adding a window can require consent. Owen checks this before the job is priced.
What happens if you find damage behind the wall?
It is discussed with you and agreed as a variation, with a price, before any extra work is done. Nothing is added quietly.
Do you coordinate the plumber, electrician and tiler?
Yes. Owen has subcontractors lined up and works out who comes when as part of the plan.
How long will my bathroom be out of action?
Owen will give you a programme with the quote, and can often stage the work so another bathroom or the kitchen stays usable.
