Builder for the Bay of Islands

Paihia, Kerikeri, Russell and Kawakawa are around an hour north of Whangārei. Owen takes on decks, renovations, roofing and outbuildings across the Bay, with travel priced into the job.

Coastal homes and holiday houses

Much of the work in the Bay of Islands is on holiday homes and coastal properties: decks that open onto the view, bathroom refreshes before the summer season, carports, and roofs that have had years of salt air. Owen builds for that exposure, choosing treatments and fixings that last near the water.

Consent in the Far North

Building work here is under Far North District Council. Decks up to 1.5 metres, some small detached buildings and like-for-like re-roofing are commonly exempt, but coastal sites can have their own rules. Owen checks before pricing.

Working with owners who are not there

Many Bay of Islands owners live elsewhere. Owen keeps the scope in writing, sends photos as the job goes, and agrees any variation before it happens, so you know what is being done to your house while you are not in it.
